Classic Tap Dance Studio Policies/Dress Code
Our academic year starts in September and goes through June. Tuition is based on a flat monthly rate with an average of 4 weeks per month. When a 5th week month occurs, the extra lesson will balance out with the holiday months when a student may receive only 3 lessons. Missed lessons may be made up during other classes.
A single non-refundable fee is charged at the time of registration.

Tuition
Tuition is due and payable at the first class of each month. Classic Tap will bill students/parents accordingly. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, there will be a late fee of $25.00 added to the next month. A charge of $25.00 is required for returned or canceled checks. Tuition is non-refundable for any reason other than cancellation of your lesson by Classic Tap Dance Studio. Make up lessons are available for classes missed; please see your teacher to determine which classes you can join.
• No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes. Lessons must be made up or forfeited.
Class Cancellations: In order to terminate enrollment, a parent or legal guardian must call and/or email Classic Tap Dance Studio with notice. 30 days’ notice is required for cancellation of classes, therefore if a student quits abruptly, he/she will remain responsible for 30 days of tuition fees.
Class Etiquette
Arriving late to class can be disruptive to other students, distracting to the focus of a learning atmosphere and difficult on the group's progression in learning. If the student arrives later than 15 minutes past the start time of class, it is up to the teachers’ discretion as to whether or not the student will be allowed to join the class on the floor, or be required to only observe.
Dress Code
Ballet - Solid colored leotard (black preferable), pink tights, pink ballet shoes are required. If the student wishes to cover her lower half, she may wear a chiffon ballet skirt or snug fitting dance shorts. Boys are required to wear black dance leggings and a snug tank tap or t-shirt. NO TUTUS please. Footless pink tights are acceptable during class; however each student will need footed or convertible tights for performances. A well secured bun is REQUIRED for all ballet students.
Tap - Black tap shoes required (prefer Bloch, Capezio and Sansha brands). Pants must be ankle length or shorter. Comfortable clothing required. Pony/bun
Jazz, Modern, Contemporary - Comfortable clothing required but must be tight fitting to the body as the instructor will need to observe body movement (i.e. tank tops, leotard, jazz pants, leggings etc). NO JEANS and pants must be ankle length or shorter. If wearing shorts, tan or pink tights are required underneath for floor work. Hair in low Pony/bun. Tan split soled jazz shoes or slip-ons, and foot undies/dance paws for jazz. Foot undies/dance paws and pink ballet flats are required for modern/contemporary.
Hip Hop - Comfortable clothing required. Tennis shoes or shoes with good traction. Hats and/or other urban accessories permitted. NO JEANS-NO MIDRIFTS; Hair Pony/bun
